Nice vehicle but very thirsty when it comes to gas consumption.

Interior looks like a definite step up for Chrysler, but the "aluminum" trim in the center console looks cheap, a different material choice would've been preferable and when will automaker learn to stop making those moronic autobox-gates? Look at Jaguar or BMW for inspiration.

...And I've been wondering about this, what is it with you Americans and tan leather? Honestly, tan, beige or brown anything, why on earth do you like it so much?

I like it. It's probably the only american vehicle that I would buy. I always liked the JGCs. I once owned a 2000 and it was nice until it stopped on me while driving on the highway.

Huge step up for a Chrysler interior. Still not sure if its good enough for its price though.

Troll thread? Certainly is baiting a tired argument about 'interior' of a domestic produced vehicle. They ALL use the same crap.

The moment Chrysler can get rid of the Daimler-sourced five-speed automatic transmission, I'm sure the shiftgate will change. (Rumor has it they're developing their own eight-speed automatic right now.)

As for anything in the interior being "cheap," those who write for automotive publications who have actually sat in one have not had a single negative thing to say about the interior.

Road & Track called the interior "smartly upscale." Apparently they think it's good enough for the price.

That's great for the folks at R&T but it doesn't change my opinion one bit. It's a great interior for a car in the $25k-$30k range but the center console in particular is a bit underwhelming for a car starting at $31k+ (with many leaving the dealer at $35k+).
