Default What Do You Drive and Why?

I drive a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Crew 4x4 Diesel. I haven't always driven large vehicles and even had a Miata for a couple of months. Yikes! With vehicles getting larger and heavier by the year, the truck puts me at ease. kinda gives me a warm....fuzzy feeling.

Oh, by the way, I do actually use it for what it was intended for -- and that's pulling!

i drive an audi a3 and i'm discovering its not covering the reasons i bought it.

performance and style...

its fun to drive, but now that the honey moons over its starting to look very docile and pedestrian.

it climbs hills like a cougar though, does a great job.

I drive an 04 Mustang GT with too many performance mods on it...and 6 yrs later its still going strong except I find its not covering a lot of my needs. I go on a lot of hiking and camping trips during the warmer months and snowboarding in the winter...starting to look for a bigger car now

After a long list of cars that I wish I could be posting...I drive a 2010 Chevy Malibu. It gets great gas mileage and has enough room to fit three car seats in the back. Not the ideal, but with a long commute and three little kids, it does what I need it to do.

Late 80's to mid 90's Chrysler products with a specific focus on LeBarons and Intrepids. The K cars (and their cousins the AA and AJ bodies) have been hands down the most reliable vehicles I've owned in 30+ years of driving. They can be found cheap and in excellent condition, mostly from estates or now non-driving elderly owners. The Intrepids are the family "dogsbody" or "grunts" and also come pretty cheap.

Plus, I do primarily my own work and find these uncomplicated to deal with.

Daily driver - Chevy S10. It runs. And as far as trucks go, the fuel economy is decent too (23-24 mpg mixed).

Weekend car - Volvo 745 - turbocharged, RWD, and with a stick shift. All in the form of a station wagon - what an unholy combination.

Hey, nothing wrong with that, at all. I miss being able to work on cars like that. You had so much more room!

For most daily driving, 2008 XLR-V. It does everything I want it to do - speed, luxury, sound, looks, convertible, techonology, ride...great for commuting.

For chores, shopping, dragging the dogs around, 2002 Ford Explorer. It does everything I want it to do.

On the side, a little classic Mustang action. That's ok...don't drive it much.
