Yeah, one of these. At this point it seems impossible I'd be able to obtain it, hopefully the technology will be available in the upcoming years

Not with cars, but with motorcycles it has, to me. In 1981 I wanted a new $4,000 Yami Xs 850 Sh, but that year my son was born, and the bike was way out of budget.

Buy the time i could afford another there were none, but one came along in a car bone yard laying in a heap of trash and metal, and i got that one in Jan 99, and still have it now. It doesn't look the same way I found it today though.

It all depends on if a person is willing to bend on some of the wish list, I think.

I wanted a MINI Cooper Clubman for a couple of years. The nearest dealership is 200 miles away and I couldn't afford a new one. The standard MINIs pop up on sale here off and on regularly, but never a Clubman, which is a stretched version.

When one suddenly turned up as a trade-in at a local dealership, I bought it. The hangup for me was the color- it's yellow, with black racing stripes, black roof, and checkered flag trim. Looks kind of like a taxi for speed crazed small people.

But it had all the options I wanted, and was in excellent condition. Because I was reluctant on the paint job, the dealer cut me a better deal than if I had loved it's color. And after a week in it, I decided the yellow was a good color for a car that small and low. I'm getting used to the color now, but I plan on keeping the car for a long time. Maybe in the future I'll get a paint job with a different color, or not. 50/50 right now.

To me, it's all the same as I will never be able to afford a Pagani Zonda.

I've always wanted a Citroen Traction Avant staff car, that I could look super cool stepping out of the suicide door wearing a trench coat, like those guys in the European spy pictures back in the 40s.

Plus, my teenage dream car just keeps getting more and more expensive as time goes on:

The damn things are collectors items here in the USA.

Turbo Toyota Supra Mark IV. My dream car back in high school and the price NEVER dropped. They're still selling for $40-50K in decent condition/miles. Even the non-Turbo ones go for about $28-32K.

While my income is rising over the years, it's becoming harder to justify buying a car built in the mid-90s and now with outdated electronics. My Lexus SC400 is the closest I'll get to the Supra design.

I had a good shot at a choice of inexpensive Silver Clouds a couple of decades ago. Now they are expensive as can be.
