buy chinese?? i would have to see if they are any good in our enviroment first... and see how the prices are then. some cars greatly improved in the time they were sold... and some cars didn't improve at all. but i can't rule them out.... all the new cars that i've bought have been japanese... and they weren't too good when they were first sold back in the '50s.

Not without first testing the vehicle for toxic metals and seeing the crash test results first.

Toxic metals can be absorbed through the skin. I don't plan on crashing but I do live in an area filled with drunk drivers and drive thru daquari huts which are legal in our state.

Then, you had better make sure you don't open any doors with Chinese-made doorknobs. When you have spare keys made, make sure they're not cut from toxic Chinese blanks, which is probably the only bare metal part of your car you ever touch.

You don't even have to get the toxins on your skin to have issues. If anyone's been following the whole Chinese drywall in home construction saga, the fumes/offgassing can be pretty destructive in itself.

Not to be confused with 115,000 useless American-made Katrina-relief trailers, banned for human occupancy, because of formaldehyde contamination. What Chinese would live in an American trailer?

Any of them. They don't seem to care. As a matter of fact we should sell them to the Chinese and withhold any information about the dangerous compounds they are constructed with. Or just dump them in the Yangtze, they wouldn't care about that either.
