I know you feel that she's the one and she'll be with you for eternity, but it seems like it would be an immense amount of pressure to put on someone giving them a ring and a ~40K vehicle.

If it were me, i would buy the vehicle and title/register/insure it, and then after you've been engaged for a little bit, tell her: "Hey, your car is on its last legs, you might as well be driving the _______ instead since we're getting married".

My thoughts exactly except I wouldn't buy her a vehicle period.

Sorry,
I agree with the Acadia (no r). You have good tastes.

Speedy might want to Look at some of the Ford COV's as he has a recent relationship with them. Might get a better deal. Who knows?

OK, another girl's input. First congrats I would do as one poster suggested as far as buy/title etc. but ask her to marry you first and then give her the ring.

WHEN she says yes, you could always have it parked in the garage with a big bow on it and maybe even a sweet little banner that says "For the woman of my dreams" Ahhhhhhhhhh this is so romantic

Ooops, so used to typing Arcadia as it's a small town near where I live My bad..

As far as Ford goes, I'd take an F-150 Platinum- chromed & lifted please But I guess that's a bit off topic.

Wait until your married for a few years to do something as stupid as this. Keep her at the threshold of happy for now... if the marriage works out for a while then start dumping your hard earned cash. You're all emotion right now, learn to cool the jets!

If you do go out and buy a car she will think its nice and sweet but will always expect that kind of treatment from then on out. She will never appreciate things if you just lavish her. Don't set yourself up for disaster.
