What's the most you've ever paid for a car, adjusted for inflation?

Inflation calculator: The Inflation Calculator

I spent $4,900 on a Chevy Malibu (about $5,700 including taxes and fees) in 2007.

The most expensive car I ever bought was my 1994 Subaru SVX LS for $9,700 back in 1999. I did not see the inflation calculator but it was a $10,000 car at most. Of course, I financed it.

Does a chrome moly chassised 6.0 certified drag car count? Look up what todays NHRA Pro Stock cars cost without the engine or trans from a pro shop, such as Jerry Bickle Race Cars. God I miss running that thing! Something about pushing over 190 mph in the 1/4 makes a fun ride!

Paid $15,540 for a 2007 Nissan Sentra. It's going to be paid off in a few months. Oh how sweet that is!

Me too!

I'm interested in a Audi later on; how is insurance on them? Are parts or repairs comparable to other cars or are they a bit more expensive?
