I would suggest Gorilla Glue or their new epoxy. I glued the sole back on my Wolverine Durashocks with the stuff and it held. lol If it will hold on something that flexes and gets stressed like that, it should work on your application. I would also recommend JB Weld or epoxy in a two part mix. Superglue sets fast but it doesn't have much strength and seems to always let loose on things that get wet and flexed/used. Okay..I just made a mess.
I tried the gorrila super glue and not only did it not hold, it
got messy... Then I got a bit on the faux walnut cover...
I think I got it off but now I have a super glue build up
on the part I am trying to glue & my hands...
I should have tried the expoxy first like ya'll said to & like my husband said to...

You are cleaning both contact surfaces first with rubbing alcohol right? If not make sure you do. The stuff is dirt cheap at WAL-MART and places like that. A bottle will run you about a buck. I try to get 90% or better. Clean parts make strong joints.
Is the solvent the same as nail polish remover ..That is what I used the day I super glued a baby bottle to my hand (don't ask)
Wilson..
At the Autoshop today I got talked into Perma Oyx Plastic Weld
that has 2 parts I mix and use.
I'll try that tomorrow.
Is that a product similar to JB Weld. ?.
I saw the JB Weld but the guy thought this was a Weld for plastics & would be better..
I can take this back and trade it for the JB Weld tomorrow as I haven't
opened it yet.
I thought it was a JB Weld product but now that I looked it up I don't think it is..
I usually follow the recommendation of the Autozone or Pep Boys people. Two part epoxy product is what you want. I like JB Weld because it has some carbon particles or metal dust and seems to be harder than epoxy alone. But let's see how that does.
