Better than the Grand Am, yes. Compared to its platform mates - the Aura and Malibu - no; both of those fixed the issues with the G6, namely interior quality, fit, and finish. There was a good reason why a majority was sold to fleets instead of retail customers.
There are several aspects going against this ... it's essentially a 2-year old car now, 3300 miles is not a new car despite being untitled, the G6's stigma as a rental fleet car, that Pontiac no longer exists, and that price is no bargain. When my work was car shopping last year, the dealers were regularly knocking $5-8k off the new G6's; new base sedans could've been had for under $16k. They still ended up buying two Auras (at $18.5k) instead.
I found a 2009 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe with 3300 miles that has never been titled.
Sticker was 28,595, and first quote to sell it is 23,000.
Should I buy this car to replace my 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT1?
No. When they were clearing out Pontiac inventory the discount back then was at least $7K on brand-new, zero mile cars. It better be more like 17K if you buy it. If you're willing to put out 23K for a used car, go with the Altima or Accord V6 coupes. Resale value will definitely be better.
Bought a 2011 Honda Accord Coupe V6 today. Car was redesigned this year!
Race red with camel leather interior. Nice car!
Enjoy your new car.
