Mustang Chase - YouTube
Whoever was the one driving the Mustang, has either been somewhat involved in track events, just happened to have some skill in car control, was helluva lucky or just has been watching too much movies
But seriously, in high speed... To be able to mauneuver the car back into the "right" position, does take a lot of skill.
Aholes destroyed the car catching the thief. Honestly the police and the thief Should have to pay for the car.
I've never really been afraid of speed. I have drove many times between Wichita Falls and the Metroplex at 100 or so. Of course 287 is a relatively lightly used road. Not a lot of traffic. Would not even consider doing that on a more heavily used interstate. My speed always depends on traffic and road/weather conditions. But I'm not afraid to go fast. Never have been.
Interesting. I drive to and through Detroit every day. I generally drive 80 MPH. I have never been stopped. I get passed regularly. Sometimes I get passed as if I am sitting still, usually by motorcycles.
I do use a Valentine, but it is of limited use, Most of the state troopers use instant on and have nailed me several times with the radar but did not pull me over. Looking for bigger prey I guess. I never see Detroit policement on the freeway. In the City it is different. They are all over and will gladly write a ticket. Not like the old days where Gratiot was known and accepted as a drag race strip after 10 p.m.
I drive real fast. In the 45mph zones I drive 55mph to 60mph. That is why I drive a Ford Escort because I have a real heavy foot. The last time I had a fast car I wound up losing my license.
In highways, I usually drive up to 10 mph over the speed limit.
Where I live though, at night, I will normally not drive above the speed limit, and very often under the limit. I usually see a lot of deer on the side of the road (and I constantly see dead deer other people hit when commuting to work), and that is why. I've always been afraid of hitting a deer.
