We had some roads where one lane was ending, and it never failed someone would get in that lane and try to cut in.
I would let them run out of road before I would let them in,isn't my problem they were in the wrong lane.
Nowadays,I don't do that, although I will maintain my speed when someone is trying to get in front of me....
As to worrying about the other driver, life is too short to live in fear.
I don't get any more rude on the road. I do it all the time. Screw waiting in queue. You can block the space in front of you but I will always find a gap somewhere up front
Big power, HUGE brakes, sticky tires, a chassis that is made/modified for handling, and years upon years upon years of driving experience in third world countries plus racing. I swoop in and shed the speed so quickly most of the time I wonder if those 14-inch rotors are glowing red.
Perfection
I suppose you are going to complain about going sideways around corners too ?
When standing in line at the supermarket,do you let people push in front of you?
Does that happen to you often? Or are you one of those people that also stands right up on the person in front of you in line at the store because you're afraid it will? Sounds like it.

No I am the type of person who would tell you to get the f' to the back of the line....
Unlike most Americans and westerners in general,I have not been pussified.
I think you think too much about what I am supposedly thinking and stressing over.
There is little I actually worry/stress over, that the pipes might freeze at our place in NC before we get up there, that my MIL will be diagnosed with early dementia, and that's about it right now...

It seems to me you're talking about something different from the OP. What do you mean "wrong lane"? If the lane is wrong what did they paint it on the road for?
