I wonder what Ford's sales figures would be if you took out all the cars the government and police forces buy....

I bet the biggest impact would be Chrysler. Companies who find their vehicles selling poorly will make deals to rental companies so they can move product.

Next is probably GM - whose Cobalts and Malibus riddle rental fleets.

1) why should GM or Ford care who buys their vehciles? And 2) why should WE care?

Fleet vehicles have to come from SOMEWHERE, unless anyone here is proposing that Checker supplies all fleet needs nationwide?

Would you rather state and federal goverments spend their tax money on imports?
