I drove a car for 4 years without windshield wipers by using Rain X. Windshield wiper motor cost $80. Bottle of Rain X is $2. Easy choice. Don't forget to use Rain X windshield washer solvent. Helps clear the ice off pretty quick in the winter. Also a good boost to the coating of Rain X on your windshield. When it's been on there a while, just hit the washer when it starts to rain for a little extra Rain X.

I've used Rain-X windshield treatment on and off for the last 10 years.

When the windshield treatment is applied to my windshield, I can drive down the road at 40 mph on a rainy day w/o having to use the windshield wipers because the water beads just glide right off the windshield, much like they do on freshly waxed surfaces.

Yes I recommend Rain-X.

Rain-X does work great. No doubt about that. Right now I have been using the windshield wiper fluid that has some rain-x chemistry in it. It's the orange juice lookin' stuff you see at the auto parts store. That in addition to using wiper fluid a little more often than usual makes a significant improvement in moisture removal. I don't know if its from the assistance of the fluid or not but I have been extensively using the same set of wiper blades for the passed few years and they still work flawlessly... they are literally starting to fall apart but it doesn't impact their performance hardly at all.

Always forget to re-apply, but Rain-x is great stuff.

I am new to the product (using it for 2 years now) and I will never be without it. No ice or snow here in Southeast Florida but a lot of rain.
Great product and it does require a tad more of elbow grease to shine the windows. However, it is worth my time because in any hard rain the water just goes away without wipers.

RainX is great on windshields, but I discovered it has another use. It removes soap scum from shower doors better than any so-called soap scum remover product....RainX melts that scum right now!

Mike, you can go a little longer between reapplications with the windshield washer solvent. Just give the windshield a good shot or two when it starts to rain. Kind of reinforces what you have on there already.
