Just got home for the Dallas Auto Show. Of course I was drooling over the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport .

Favorites:
Aston Martin Rapide
Audi R8 Spyder
Corvette Stingray Concept (WICKED!!!!! )
Camaro ZL1
Porsche Panamera Turbo (not a fan of the backend but the front, interior and under the hood )
Volvo C70 Convertible
Cadillac Escalade ESV (only because the Suburban looked like crap)

Was disappointed:
BMW did not bring out one single 6 series. The only M's were an M3 conv and M1.
GM - the Suburban and Tahoe you brought out.... seriously??? It was the Texas Edition and felt stripped down with cheap imitation leather. You removed all of the cup holders, consoles, etc? Might as well have just sat out 4 tires off of a Suburban in it's place.
Nissan - Where was the GTR?????? Seriously? Why not bring it out to show people what you have to offer in that area?????
Lexus - same thing, where was the LFA? Now is the time to shine at the new car auto shows. BRING IT OUT!
Lexus - what was that ugly, and I mean FUGLY big brown turd thing you brought? EWW!

Mini's were cute as was the new little Fiat. Rest was unimpressive.

Anyone else been to the new auto shows? What were your takes?

Auto shows are like any other marketing promotion, there is a budget, logistics, and an estimation of the demographics of the audience. Every one will be a compromise and feature different products... I always felt the LA auto show was more to my liking than in Dallas. You may have to do some advance research and travel to see as much as possible.
