Your English is much better than my Polish. But not good enough to understand what you are asking, for sure.

We drive at 16 here in some states. Maybe it's 18 in places like NY City. Is it a good idea? Not for some. Within one month's time, I was rear-ended by two different 17 year old girl (different girl, different car, different place). Both times it was their fault. They were both tailgating and locked up their brakes.

How it is with car accident is that they were both driving mommie and daddy's car and they both had insurance. After the second accident, I got rid of my car as a bad omen.

I am originally from Europe, and in my country is the same - you can get your driver's license when you're 18. I personally do not agree with "having a drivers license when you're 16 or so". As Brian said, from his experience, and as well from mine, most 16yr olds are horrible drivers. I think people are too young to realize the dangerousness of driving, and they drive reckless. Most of them though...

And I wouldn't ride with one!

I was lazy and waited until I was 21 to get my license.... all my friends had cars so I didn't need one. Saved me car payments and insurance money too!

I agree with the others, I do not think most 16 year olds are mature enough to drive a car. Yes, they can physically drive, but most do not have the common sense, respect for life, experience, responsibility, restraint, etc. that make people good drivers.
