I guess it's all relative. To each his own...
As I said, your DTS is one of the few cars sold by an American manufacturer that is built in America with a relatively high American parts content. This is great in terms of what you're looking for but its important to know that its one of the few such vehicles. This means that if I didn't want a DTS, I wouldn't have very many other choices that meet those goals. In the overall market place, with domestic and foreign makes taken into consideration, there's a good chance you're actually helping more Americans by buying a foreign car than by buying a domestic one.

Mr. CEO (whether American or not) is already going fine with his mansion and yacht. I'd be more concerned about the bottom level factory, supplier and dealer employees. In many cases buying a foreign car will help more Americans in those fields than a domestic one.

In this global economy it's hard to tell who benefits the most. In the meantime, I'll just stick with my Cadillac and let you smart guys figure out.

You do what you like. Not my problem . I have 8 cars (atm), none American. (Not because I hate American cars, but because they are what I like. They serve their purpose, and I have fun with them. I like the way they look, drive, feel, and enjoy tinkering with them..well most of them anyway).

Be happy for me, as I am for you..
