I read that GM cars built in Canada are among the better built and more reliable GM cars you can buy. I'd agree with that with personal experience. I've heard that the Cobalt is adequate and does its job although it won't win any awards on performace or style. But if a car can stay problem free and be reliable, thats great.
If I was looking for a small commuter, I'd consider the Pontiac Vibe. Its a Toyota clone thats even better.
