This looks like a representation of cars that could appreciate off of their lows. Only a couple could sale currently for more than they originally did: Lets say for argument sake a 50k car in pristine condition.

90 up 300ZX TT-You can get a nice one for 10k. Could appreciate to it's original value over your lifetime
Buick GN-Currently goes for higher than the original price in pristine condition
80 Transam-These were going for big dollars in Pristine condition a few years ago, but they never recovered.
BMW 850i-Will not appreciate to it's original value over your lifetime
Toyota Supra- If you could find a pristine non-F&F 50k mi Mark 4 TT it could bring close to it's orginal value now.
Mitsubishi 3000GT- It's a Mitsubishi, it may never recover
Honda NSX- Not quite the image as the God like supra but a pristine one is going to cost you.
GMC Cyclone/Typhoon- A 50k pristine one will be close to it's original sales price
Corvette ZR-1- Found a 91 with 5800 miles on it for 16k and it won't sell.
GNX- Very collectable, currently going beyond original price
Dodge Viper- They built enough of them that they will not reach the original pp any time soon.
RX7 FD-Worth more with an LS motor in it, say no more.

From what I've seen the most valuable 3rd gens are convertibles, Firehawks, and 1LE Camaros.

Many people consider the TTA to be a type of GTA because of the wheels, seats, lack of fender vents, cloisonné emblems, etc...

80 Trans Am if it is an oringinal Turbo 301 still goes for good money.

Buick GN and GNX, They are by far the best collectible big money cars of the 80's along with the T-Type cars, much like the Formula with the right options were to a Trans Am. GNX will beat all the 80's cars from any 80's car maker in the future in performance value. If I could buy 5 now, in ten years I'd sell and retire.

Toyota Supra, over rated when new and still is. So is the horrible NSX Honda. They might have some value down the road for import NOPI crowd people, but it will be very limited market and fewer people willing to fork out the over valued dollars.

3000GT, Junk when new and always will be looked at as junk in collector car markets.

GMC Syclone/ Typhoon, they will be bringing big money in years to come. Not even the best supercars in those years could match them in the 1/4 !

Corvette ZR1. It gets some more age, it will go up in value. All performance corvettes over time do.

RX7 FD, Only in asian markets will it be worth anything more than average entry market level.

Maybe so but nowhere on the car are the v8 powered GTA emblems, so technically its a Turbo Trans Am.
