Police stop man using laptop while driving.

WINCHESTER, England, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Police in Britain said a motorist caught during a crackdown on distracted drivers was spotted using his laptop and drinking coffee behind the wheel.

Hampshire police said 84 vehicles were stopped during the five-day crackdown last week on the M27 and M3 roadways, and among them was a man spotted using his laptop computer and drinking coffee at the same time while driving, the BBC reported Tuesday.

Back in 1998 I was almost run off the road in Dallas by a guy doing work on his laptop while driving.

We were wondering if the guy in front of us was drunk one morning but when we got next to him saw he was reading a newspaper across the wheel and was eating a bowl of cereal while driving.

The other day I saw a man reading something while he was driving. He did a good job in the stop and go traffic, but still, I didn't think it was a good idea.

I have been guilty in the past of putting makeup on in traffic, but not now days. I was young and foolish then.

My favorite was a guy playing the guitar. He had his windows rolled down. Stop and go traffic on the 101 through Hollywood. People were shouting requests at him.

I had a woman come to a stop next to me on a freeway exit ramp and she was smoking, talking on a cell phone, and putting on makeup.
