Pretty amazing really . Im a big corvette fan and have owned 2: 1970's (a small block and a big block) as well as a 2006 Coupe. I still have the big block and its now built up adding 150 h.p. over the factory spec of 390 hp. 1973 to 1982 Corvettes got severely bastardized by the Feds and were some of the slowest sports cars around . But nevertheless, they are having greater appeal today than back then . They make nice Cruisers and parts are still readily available .
“(There’s) no extra charge for the dust, but that’s part of the unique character of this car, that it was a barn find. That it hasn’t been touched in 30 years, basically,” said sales manager Jason Francisco.
“The car had everything original, even the battery, and it fired right up. The window sticker is on it. Everything from 1978. And it’s even got some rare options, which was the CB radio.”
Who ever buys the car will get an added bonus – the original gas receipt. It shows the original owner paid $5 for 7.5 gallons.
......as I understand it,THIS vette has a 17 gal capacity fuel tank.... & recommended 28 mpg....owner purchased 7 1/2 gal of gas at 66 cents a gallon....drove 13 miles, using 1/2 gallon of gas.....getting 26 mpg. I can't believe the owner was not tempted to drive the car over 33 YEARS!
Mike Milian’s friend from Bud’s Chevrolet in St Mary’s, OH, Bud Schoenleben said the previous owner, a friend of his, bought the car in ’78 as an investment and never drove it.
I was not aware cars were considered to be "investments" back in 1978....

Geez, I can only imagine the look on the guys face after he found the car in a barn, and look at the odometer only to see it read "13".
