The tires must be rated M/S. I sometimes pull a trailer with it as well. So....what tires have you had good luck with and which ones didn't perform to your expectations? I have had some Mastercrafts on it since I purchased it and it is ready for new shoes.
Just go to Tirerack and read some of their articles. They also have tire comparison tables for you to look at, and customer reviews.

Firestone Destination A/T's are awesome. Check out the reviews, can't go wrong. It has a 8.7 on Tirerack.

I have them on a Durango and Ram in the mountains of Colorado, do great all year round.

Are tires found at walmart 2nds or not the exact same tires as from tire shops? I've been told they have a special label made just for wally? Are the BF Goodrich AT a good deal?

That's right. They are different than your standard tire shop tires. Made cheaper on older technology and less material.

BFGoodrich A/T is a good all around tire, but it doesn't work too well in mud as they don't clear fast enough.

I used to run Dick Cepek when the old man was alive. Used to buy at their orgininal store in South Gate.

My truck has Firestones on it right now in the city, I have about 10,000 miles to go. I will likely use BF Goodrichs on replacement.

Tires are like guitar strings, they are all good. Some are just better for other people.

Believe it or not, these are some of the best tires I ever ran on my old 3/4 ton Suburban.

GT Radial Adventuro M/T They wore like iron, yet really handled well both on the road and in the dirt/snow. I first bought the Adventuro A/T's and were highly impressed, then replaced them with the Adventuro M/T's and liked them even better. They were recommended by the tire shop I always went to, and were convinced when I looked out the window and they were the only tire on their own company trucks. I had never heard of them, but when the owner told me to take them and give them a try, if I didn't like them for ANY reason after a month, bring them back and he would give me every penny back. Tried them and loved them. Lower cost than most other tires the same size, but great tires.
