I have a 1990 ford probe lx that has more hole than muffler right now. i was wondering if this muffler would fit it, or with slight modification, work.

I don't think you need dual inlets, and the diameter of them seems a bit large, too. You might want to measure up the diameter of your exhaust pipe at the muffler to find out what size you need to get. You should only have a single exhaust pipe there at the muffler on the inlet side:

It should look similar to this with a 2 inch in and out:

what you should worry about is a lot of fabrication to make the dual inlet work. You can get a 2" to 2.25" adapter pretty easy, but to split the exhaust so that it goes in both inlets will be more trouble and cost more to have done than it would be to simply buy the correct sized muffler like that flowmaster I posted.

On that muffler, the single pipe is the inlet and the dual is the outlet. Just get the correct muffler and don't worry about fabbbing one that may never work correctly.
