Soon, about 2,600 Chevy dealers in 50 states will have at least one Volt for sale
You can't be serious, the point I and most everyone here is trying to make is the car IS a failer. You can only polish a turd so much!
All that wasted billions [tax payers money btw] to develop a flop.
Admit that you're another shill for government motors that probably works for GM.

The demand for this car does not justify the push by GM for 10,000 this year and 60,000 next year. It is outragous sales projections not fitting reality that calls into question the caliber of individuals running and managing companies such as GM, and the continued belief that they are right and the market is wrong.Cruize 17,000 and Volt 40,000 dollars. What is wrong with the guys up in the RenCen? Admit you made a mistake, lower the sales projections, avoid overloading Chevy dealers with cars that will not sell, and stop wasting money marketing a vehicle with limited appeal and sales potential.
Last but not least, they better hope the fire issue will not pervade the entire line and call into question the safety of the vehicle.

Yes, I'm serious. You're attirbuting a lower number of sales than projected to be a failure without accounting for the fact that PRODUCTION was lower than expected. Ferrari sells around 6,000 cars a year worldwide, does that make Ferrari a failure? No. Why is that? Because they sell every last one that they produce. It's the same story with the Volt. Yes, sales are lower than expected, but that doesn't account for the fact that every single one that could have been sold has been sold so far. There aren't legions of Volts languishing on dealer lots and piling up at the plant. You want to see what a sales failure looks like, look at the VW Routan. They still have brand new 2010's on dealer lots side-by-side with 2011's and 2012's and plenty more sitting at storage lots.
As for your quote, are you seriously going to post quotes from the comments section of articles as a source?

Haven't you figured out that you are wasting your time? Either the posters that "stretch" what they quote, or flat out misinterpret sales vs production are doing it just to get your "goat" or they're dumber than a rock. Quoting from a comments section? Quoting half an article so only what they want to have seen is is there? BTW that post from the hack re GM is against forum rules. I'm surprised a mod hasn't removed it.
Might as well give up. Let them wallow in ignorance.

I figured I was wasting time. Arguing with these guys is like arguing with neo-Nazi's in the history forum. No matter what you say and what proof you have, you will never change their mind or opinion. Still, I feel compelled to give a response in the interest of combatting ignorance. It most likely isn't worth the time and effort, but I'm occasionally stubborn that way.

I'd say it goes back to the classic Ford vs Chevy thing. They're a Ford (or any other brand) fan so anything to do with Chevrolet (or any other brand) is ridiculed and ran into the ground.

It could easily go the other way.
Or they don't like hybrids? I dunno, it just seems a waste if time to me.
Excellent, she's the perfect example of the "green" elitism attitude ...
Again, comparing a Volt to a Ferrari, saying we are dumb.Is outrageously funny.
What an idiot. That one is probably going to get the crap beat out of her at some point. I know women who wouldn't walk away, even with their kids present. They'd punch her out and explain to their children that they should not put up with bullies, which is exactly what that jackass is. And ugly as sin to boot, which is probably part of why she's the way she is.
