I am set in buying (used) with what the title says and can't find a good deal here in Florida.
Problem is most are auto. Just test drove a G35 2007 59K miles that looks great and asking price? 22K. I said that is insane and walked out. Am I wrong or that's the price else where? I see a couple grand less for the same car but auto. transmission AND with navigation. Is that the price for wanting manual?
This one has only two options: moon roof and a rare spoiler, that all.
Crazy if private party, not so crazy if you were on the dealership lot. Even though I buy exclusively private party I think its crazy how many people think their cars should fetch retail prices. Certainly can't blame them for trying though.
I drive a manual G37S coupe and it is great. The manual is definitely something you should try to get. Smooth shifts - an improvement from the last generation.
^ yes. In fact, that's how I got to go to this specific dealer. He didn't want to give me a copy of the carfax yesterday when I just got it for free on Autotrader today.
The dealer said that he bought it 20,500, which I doubt. He is basing his offer price on adjusted NADA clean title price. Clean trade for car is 18K
Car is one owner and dealer bought it at auction a month ago. Does this indicate anything? How can a dealer pay above a trade-in value at auction?

what HE bought it for is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is what you're willing to pay for the car. Go look up the dealer/retail price of what you're looking for on edmunds and kbb. That would be my stake in the ground for what this car should cost from a dealer.
