Yeah, I would say that one, too.

Best buy for the dollar and easiest to maintain.

I'd go with the Z06. 405 hp. Lemans Blue. 6 speed.

Corvette Z06 definetly! I've driven a Viper and they have a harsh ride combined with a very spartan interior; it's not comfortable if you are driving for more than an hour at a time. The Mustang is nice but I've never been a fan of their looks.

The Corvette will probably suit you the best.

Like another poster said. What will the car be used for. If your going to use it on clear weather days, short cruises and going to the local car night I would say the Viper hands down. The Mustang is a nice car but you can rent one from Hertz if you want, definitely not a unique car. The Corvette would be the best all around car. It can be a daily driver and it's pretty civilized. If your cruising down the street you may turn a head or two. It is a very fast car. Then theres the Viper. A 96/97 will outperform the 04 Vette. Not by much but it is quicker. The Viper has the wow factor. It's not civilized, it's a bit raunchy and loud, but it is a hot rod. When you drive a Viper down the street you "WILL" turn heads. Go to any cruise night. If there's a Viper there, you will see a crowd around it. It all boils down to purpose. If it's just for fun, it's the Viper. Good luck to you.
By the way you can solve your problem and buy a.

Don't take this the wrong way, but is she a skilled driver?

The Viper has a ton of torque and WILL bite you if you're not paying attention.

I'm going to disagree with many others here and say that the Z06 offers the best bang for the buck. The Z will run circles around the Mustang and beat the Viper with your average driver because of the traction control and other electronic wizardry. The Z is also a lot more refined than the Viper.

If you want a raw experience, go for the Viper. One of the car magazines put it best when they called the Viper "instant celebrity status with keys and a warranty." Of course, the warranty part won't apply with a '96/'97, but you get the idea.

If you want the best all-around sports car, the Z is the way to go. It's fast, reliable and very civilized.

The Mustang would be my absolute last choice. Buying an '07 is going to give you terrible depreciation, the slowest car in the group and the opportunity to see yourself coming and going on the road every time you take it out (there are tons of them out there).

That's a beautiful Cobra replica. What do you have under the hood?
