When was the last time the chinese came out with something innovative and original? When they stumbled upon gunpowder, maybe? What a sad culture to be a part of when intellectual property theft is considered honorable, even by your government.

I always figured they stole that from someone else, too.

The Chinese developed the wheelbarrow and stirrups. Funny to think that people rode horses for over 1000 years before somebody thought of stirrups. Stirrups of course made possible very effective shock cavalry who could wield sword and spear much more vigorously than before though stirrupless heavily armored Steppe and Roman cataphracts had been somewhat effective.

it was just a matter of time. americans love to spend buckets of money on cars and gas and dont seem to care much about land.
the rifle and pony were foreign treasures introduced here by clever merchants who traded them for land. the rifle and pony became an essential part of the indian culture and they lost their land. so it is with the foreign car we will give up our birthright to have them.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. Is it a marvel of engineering? No. But chances are it will be profitable. If I was a business man I would exploit the laws available to me in a country to produce the most profit.

Gotta admit, they're getting better at copying designs. Before they'd come out looking like cartoonish exaggerations of whatever they were copying.
