while my droid can do many things, zero to 60 in 5 seconds isnt one of them. When that happens, they can pry my car from my fingers.

After reading this article I thank God I'm not any younger than my 45 years and I have more of an attention span than the idiots that are controlled by their " smart " phones.
In fact, today I'm going to kiss my car and take the long way to work.

Take long way without GPS! So what if you get lost? It's an adventure to find your way back!

while i may use gps plenty of times now, i used to put 1500-2000 miles a week driving with a relic of a map.... never did get lost then either... and it never told me to "make a legal u-turn" if i decided to go past my turn to grab something to eat lol

I can only hope more people stop using cars. It will give me more space on the roads.

Personally, I despise GPS systems and only use them when I'm trying to find some place after a major disaster, often when the street signs are gone. Even then, I can still do better with a map.

How did we make it all those years without hearing, "Recalculating! Recalculating!"

I agree, which is why I lease cars. Let someone else own these depreciating hunk of metals!

Most people dont have the option of phoning it in they have to be physically on the job and most would love to discover a way to avoid the daily commute but until the phone starts moving boxes and driving forklifts it aint going to happen and if it ever does i'm going to be left redundant with no money to afford a phone.

I wonder if any of the commenters here are actually "millenials" as was the subject of the article.
