ASE. Watched Youtube after my last post. Now I know why we mechanics have to deal with customers, that are afraid of us. This guy is a perfect example of what is on the INTERWWWEB. This car's EGR passage to it's cylinders was blocked. Check engine light on/EGR flow code set. Yes EGRs are to keep NOX down. He applied vacuum and engine didn't stall like it should have. Either EGRs not working mechanicaly or circuit blocked. Couldn't get EGR to stall car because it was blocked? Maby TECHNICAN with winter cap had a second problem with the car. Like it ran OK on cold start up on its computer files. But, when it warmed up and went into CLOSED LOOP. And ran off the information from the engines computer sensors. The hole in the air inlet tube he replaced. He said, (was letting sh-- into the engine). Was maby also, letting in some really cold air the computer sensor in the air filter box never accounted for. Or maby the crap it let into the engine was probably cleaned out of the butterfly and intake manifold computer sensor by him? Was that what was making it stall. Who knows what else he fixed? Might need a little training before going on Youtube? When EGRs are blocked they don't stall the car because, they can't do anything!

I have seen an aftermarket free flowing exhaust cause this problem as well. There is not enough back pressure so EGR flow is nill.
