Vector W8. I bought every magazine I could find that had a single word about the Vector in it. It was my ultimate dream exotic when I was in Jr High and High School, and honestly, I still dream of getting my hands on one today. Of only 19 W8s ever produced, I actually saw one driving down the street in Arlington, TX when I was 13. I still remember how excited and amazed I was to see it.
This is the exact car I saw. Only 1 was ever produced in yellow.
I was a teenage muscle car junkie so was promiscuous in my preferences but most often perused the Autotrader for a 1969-1970 Mach I, 1970-72 Trans Am and Smokey & Bandit edition T/A 1978-1979. Eventually owned a 1970 Trans Am and a 1979 Trans Am but the latter was not black/gold.
I used to play this old car racing game with terrible graphics, I don't remember the name, but time after time I would choose the Shelby Cobra over any other car, even the custom cars. It's probably also the reason why cobalt blue was one of my favorite colors growing up.
that profile, catching the split window, is one of the nicest of any car shots out there. great pic
