I was told that you can get a better deal in the colder months
Im also told that towards the end of the year is when they want to get rid of old stock.
Has anyone purchased a car using COSTCO? Did you save a lot or get a better deal then with out using COSTCO?

The last deal I got was buying on the last business day of the year, which was January 30th that year. besides the year end it had been snowing and the big dealer hadn't sold a car in several days. it was the only time I ever had an offer accepted the first time, and it was 4,000 below sticker, and that included tax and license, plus the exact amount I wanted for my trade. The best though, was the weekend after Thanksgiving. Some people buy new cars the week before Christmas as gifts, but apparently not right after Thanksgiving. That one stickered at $32,000 and I got it for $24k.
It did take over 3 hours of arguing, but was a lot of fun. Walked out twice and got called back.
Don't try too much with Toyotas and Hondas, though, they just don't seem to have to make deals.

Taking you with me lol awesome info thank you. I am looking at a Eos VW
The best time is July onward but later you wait the less to choice from. Toyota and Honda start their dealer incentive in July as well as financing deals. But one has to remember that when deaslig with a limited produciton model they only have a few of i a year ;they can be hard to deal on. I found on my Odyssey that in three months between march and July I was able to save 2000;getting well below invoice once Honda dealer incentives kicked in. But ; just last week helped my sister buy a Accord at well below dealer invoice.I suspect because they had alot on the lot.If all you see is one or two convertibles its going to depend alot on now long they have had it on the lot because of floor plan cost to keep them long.I suggest you go to Edmonds.com to see invoice price and what they are averaging in your area on cost.
New Cars, Used Cars, Car Reviews and Pricing - Edmunds.com has some excellent tips for inexperienced car buyers. Another tip I recommend that worked well for me is to use the Auto Trader instant trade-in appraisal. The dealer honored the autotrader price even though they wanted to give me $800 less for my trade in.
As I understand it, VW's margins on new cars are slim. Invoice on my Tiguan was $31k and change whereas sticker was around $34k. Read on Edmunds about dealer holdback, VW's is 2% of base MSRP. Dealer Holdback - Edmunds.com
You can politely ask the dealer if you can see the invoice price and try to work a number from that. The dealer will try to work a number based off the sticker price. They don't have to show you invoice but they should if they're honest.
I think VW is also offering 0.9% APR for 60 months right now on some new cars. It looks like the Eos qualifies but it ends on Monday.
Also, with VW you can buy the extended warranty at any point while the manufacturer warranty is still active. You can also try to negotiate that price. I'm sure I touched on more than you asked for in this thread but I recently bought a new car and did a ton of research so I wanted to share with the hopes that people will read it and not get screwed over by a dealer.
