again Clueless. Do your homework. The 3v heads flow as well as the 4v heads. All that work to you GTO and it was still 1/2 a second slower then my buds 3v 4.6

GTO had a 227/239 .614/.624 114+5 custom grind cam, GM L92 heads milled 0.030, Stock GM LS3 intake manifold, Pacesetter longtube headers, Corsa Sport Catback, SvedeSpeed OTR CAI, Pedders Street II suspension, Built 4L65 transmission and 3200 Vigilante Torque Converter. I swapped out to a custom 4000 FTI converter but never made it to the track before deciding to get rid of it, was hoping to see 11.2-11.3's. Had a wet nitrous kit on the car jetted for a 150rwhp shot but never got a chance to use it at the track after the heads/cam.

nope. The 2v's are not the good ones.. But there are ones in the 9's.. Thje 3v and 4v have the best heads, 7000 rpm capability and overhead cams.

wrong again.. With a good driver and good launching, mid to low 13's are the norm

Entirely disingenuous comment. You know exactly the context of the response. Anything else and you are kidding yourself and attempting to fool the general audience here.

The ZR1 was designed for the use of the blower. It is not a Jasper modification. Your 2005 Mustang GT with blower/slicks/tune (your words) is going to need a lot more money invested to reliably and long term run fast and not break other components. There goes the budget and straight back to what I wrote.

Not looking to get into a **** fight with anyone, but here is my list:

1. Toyota Supra Twin Turbo engine (2JZGTE) Easy to make power for little to nothing (with proper research), Endless power. For up to 800whp, with proper tuning, no need to mess with the bottom end or head.

2. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution/Talon/Eclipse turbo (4G63) Great powerplant, responds well to mods, and many cheap ones at that.

3. Honda B-Series and K-Series engines (tons of parts and knowledge available)

4. Mazda RX7 single turbo engine (with proper engine management, and cooling they make plenty of power)

5. Benz E55 AMG (supercharged). Fun/comfortable and gobs of torque with a great traction system.

6. Buick Grand National (3.8 l V6) tie with Typhoons/Syclone trucks. Archaic power plants, but my favorite for domestics (turbo).

Anything that requires changing heads (Heads not made from the factory. found in Summit or Jeg's catalogs) or excessive displacement is a waste of a power plant to me.

1. 1986-87 Buick Grand National or T type with the 3.8 liter V6 turbo....because right now you can get them cheaper than in years past and really all you need to do on a stock GN or T type would be to turn up the boost, add some 112 and put on some stickies, maybe a chip swap and you're in the 12's if you know how to launch it. (not hard)

2. Fox body Mustang....because what can't you not find in a Summit or Jegs catalog for a fox body Mustang? Heck you can even buy parts for them at Wal mart. Also they're cheap, light and (depending on your opinion) can look good.

3. S-10. Because you can get these all day long for as low as $800 for a good beater, you drop in a nice built sbc V8, with an auto and a Currie 9 inch (cheapest rear I've seen from Currie) and run 12's in the 1/4 on say a modest 350, and 11's on a modest 400 sbc. Add some nitrous or some forced induction and go even faster. You'll need some good stickies since the rears are so light you can send the rear tires up in smoke, but all in all a cheap hot rod. The 1988 and up trucks with the 4.3 from the factory make it even easier to upgrade to a small block V8 as the V8 bolts up to the stock 4.3's tranny. The best ones IMO were the base model trucks built from '82 to '93 as they were roughly 2500 lbs curb weight with the 4 cyl/manual trans combo; the V8 adds roughly 150-200 lbs to the nose.

4. LS1 F bodies....same reasons as the fox Mustang, plus the LS1 was a phenomenal engine. Just be ready to address the rear with a Currie, add subframe connectors, the manual clutches are so-so.

5. 1994-present Mustang, about the same as the fox body Mustang.

6. 1968-74 Nova.....if you look around, you can sometimes find these 2900-3300 lb curb weight cars for sale for a reasonable price. The Novas have a good aftermarket support. Plus they look good. The earlier Novas weighed even less.

Your buds 4.6 also had a $6000+ blower on it not to mention the other parts... I had less then $4000 total into the GTO. Sure the4.6's can make power... Just don't do it without a power adder.

Again, clueless.
