The 2012 camry drives nithing like the previous genereation. Thees an actual driving feel to them, and yes the v6 has gobs of power.. but its not a "1-2 mpg" difference. The 4 is rated at 25,35 the 6, 21,30, and the hybrid is anywhere from 38 to 43mpg, which I actually get in normal driving. Because of that and the hybrid is only like 2200$ more than the v6, I would personally choise the hybrid. But I can understand others wanting the sportier feel of the v6 over the mileage of the hybrid, but for me, I get to drive bad ass street cars and race cars for a living, so a "hot" street car does not do much for me in my day to day driving.
I typically go for cars that are good on power and have great handling characteristics but let's be honest, the majority of street driving is done in a straight line. Most people don't care for or appreciate what a good suspension can do in the twisties.
