Just wondering if there were many on this site who were interested in Air-cooled Volkswagons, acquiring parts, and discussing repairs?
Anyone who is really interested in these cars will know that the brand name is spelled Volkswagen, and those aficionados may be offended by the misspelling of the name of their favorite marque!

But in all fairness, there actually were some Volkswagenwagons.
There is a site "Samba" that is good for info if you are interested. We have owned water cooled and air cooled. Currently own 2 air cooled and 1 diesel.
I used to be, but it has been several years since I sold my last Bug.
Same here. I've had over 30 custom VWs, mostly air cooled, though there were a couple early water cooled ones in the mix (mk 1 Rabbit, Jetta, and Scirocco)

Same here too.
Went through about 9-10 during my young and carefree days. All type 1.
Best project- '62 rag on a '70 pan with an 1835 and a single plate "highway flyer" tranny.
I've been thinking about getting into them again- maybe.

Not once you go Diesel. I've check for inoculations, but there is no hope, once infected. "drivers wanted"... Even worse when you use Rabbits Park two in the driveway, the next day there are 3 (or more... now I have 28).
My Air cooled VW's were all Camper buses / vans (+ a 1957 Karmann Ghia) 1957 karmann ghia - Google Search (yellow w/ black top, mid page)
Air cooled van 'war stories' are much of the legacy of our family vacations. (squirt guns for AC, parking on hills to bump start, FIRES, wind ... getting passed in mtns by Uhaul trucks (going 95 mph down the other side and passing them... every hill...)
Maybe if we can be more frequent with use of "volkswagon" VWoA will issue a cease and desist to C-D. They are very protective or their trademarks, often nailing VW promoters / naysayers.
