The interior was falling apart, steering wheel controls stopped working, cd player stopped working. Probably some other things I can't remember or don't want to... and my dad had an 05 also had a lot of trouble at 100k plus. I understand cars need work and repairs sometimes, but this car needed more than all of my other cars COMBINED. If you love this car and are ready for the likely problems then go for it. One thing I can say is that after each repair the problem was solved, there weren't any repeats of the same issue as I've eperience with some rides, which then I would definetely say run!

The issue I had with mine was front suspension which was $1,000. And the coil packs. The controls held up, the interior held up. The transmission was still good and the engine was great except for the effing coil on plug ignition.

Repairs were never cheap. But I had a 10 year old car with 136,000 when I bought it. So I expected some repairs.
Well, the fact that the previous owner serviced it at the dealership and put $650-700 tires on the car, to me is a sign of a well maintained car. Car has been checked out by several appraisers, who all gave it a clean bill of health, and I'm not keeping it for more than a year tops, probably no more than 10-15k miles, maybe 20k at most, and if for some reason I don't like it, I have 5 days to return the thing.

Buddy checked Mannheim auction prices, and the cheapest comparable one sold for a grand more.

It just seems like a no brainer to me.

The T birds were a way cool car. Execution could have been better IMO. Sales were never great. Was not a cheap car, and the end result didn't measure up if I remember correctly.

Huh?? The 02's v8 was a dog. 250 hp and ....

Road tests by Motor Trend and Car and Driver found that a V8-equipped LS could accelerate from zero to 60 mph (97 km/h) in the low seven second range while V6 models were up to two seconds slower in the same test.

It may beat a v6 Mustang.. But thats about it..

Yes. But some believe everything they read in road and track or car and driver.

But, you mean a '12 V6 Camry doesn't do 0-60 in 5.8? It has to be true, C/D said so....

It is impressive, but it felt more like a high 6 second car when i test drove it in the real world. 5.8 my @ss.

Kid down the street has one and most of the time it doesn't run for one reason or another. His has just over 100,000 miles on it and exceptionally clean.....but it's junk. If you don't run after picking up the hood to see nothing but engine and zero room to work on anything, yer not too smart.
The LS doesn't have an air suspension...you're thinking of Continentals or Mark VIIIs. I have a 2001 LS V8 with 120,000 miles. I have owned it for almost four years and have only spent about $1500 on repairs. The most expensive was replacing the front driver's side ball joint...$730 at the dealership. I also have had to replace one window regulator and a door lock when I first got it, but otherwise the last year and a half (about 20,000 miles) it has been completely trouble free. All electronics work perfectly. The LS has a few common nagging issues, but they are great driver's cars and those of us who own them would gladly buy another despite the shortcomings.
