What are drivers like in your area? (On the average?)...Have you seen or experienced "road-rage" very often?...We have a huge influx of "snow-birds" here in AZ during the cooler months. Some of them are "slowpokes" out on the highway. We have to deal with a lot of RV's...On weekends we're packed with boats and jet-skii's and "river-rats!"

"Speeding" here is 8-9 over on the freeway, 4-5 over everywhere else. Go faster than that and you stick out like a sore thumb.

It wasn't always this way, but I think everyone drives more conservatively in the past 10 years because gas is three times more expensive than before.

On the one hand, it take some of the fun out of driving, but on the other hand, drivers seem to be more patient in general. Not that there was ever much road rage.

The few road rage incidents I ever recall making news seemed to be in one of a few semi-rural suburbs, where four lane 65 MPH state highways start running into lower speed limits, more stop lights, and more traffic.

No one uses turn signals here in my area. Have no idea why, I always have. Utah does not have the best drivers sorry to say.

They either drive way too fast or way too slow.

Why do some people refuse to wear corrective lenses when driving? I see far too many people squinting when driving

People don't seem to understand what the traffic laws are. My biggest pet peeve: There is a road I take that crosses another road; we are at an intersection with a traffic light. Why do all of the people coming from the opposite way, stopping at the intersection to make the left turn, when I am going straight, think they can go first. I am going straight and yet these people think they can cut me off, so they can go first and make their left turn. Any traffic law I have ever heard of states they must wait for all the oncoming traffic to pass. It is not who gets there first.

People who run stop signs. I know, no one stops at stop signs, they roll through slowly, AND I MYSELF HAVE DONE THIS. But I have seen just how dangerous this is so I now come to a complete stop at stop signs.

People who follow too close to me. I'm driving a 3000 lb death machine and so are you. Why in the world do you have to be so close to me that you can read the fine print on a contract.

People who beep you 1/2 microsecond before the light changes.

I'm sure there is more.

AZ is a mish-mash of drivers from all over the country so you'll see every type of driver here bringing their bad habits with them.

Insane-crazy.

Yep, road rage is pretty common here. I get a little chuckle watching people speed around me only to have to slam their brakes at a red light or backed-up traffic.

In North Carolina only 50% of drivers use turn signals. Lots of tailgaters who will not pass.
Don't see much road rage because lots of people have CC permit.

The ATL ranks right up there within the top 5 of worst traffic in the country. Most blame it on lack of roadways (OK; some credit), others blame it on our "love" of the automobile (versus public transportation), meaning there is too much congestion created by one occupant cars (OK; some credit there too). Then there are the people that CAN"T DRIVE WORTH A S#!T!!!! (A lot of credit goes here!- just don't know if "credit" would be the correct terminology[?])

How do this people get DL's? I see the most stupid and asinine driving traits- the list is way too long!
I do tend to sound like rage- but I keep it within the cabin of my vehicle. Even my 13yo son says I need to be calm- then he says, "they do drive like idiots don't they!"

After 16 years and well over a million miles at the wheel of big truck through all 48 states, I truly believe that most states have about an equal number of morons and people who truly know how to drive behind the wheel. Fair or not, I'll give a slight nod to Californians, who seem somewhat better with "Drive on the right, Pas on the left" than most other states.
