In the USA are the majority of Lexus drivers 'white' or Asian..
From what I've observed Asians tend to drive Benz, especially the elders.. Lexus seemed more for like white middle age females
Although median white household income is 79.2% of median Asian household income in the US, Asians only represent 4.8% of the US population, so their numbers are comparatively small. While 21% of white households earn more than $100,000 a year, and 32.4% of Asian households earn more than $100,000 a year, the number of Asian households earning more than $100,000 a year is still only a small fraction of the number of white households with more than $100,000 per year income.
Based on these figures, speaking only for the US market, I am going to presume that more white people purchase new vehicles of any brand, than do people of any other race.
In my experience (I work in auto claims for large insurance company), we have a large customer base of people who are of Asian descent. You know what many of them drive? Lexus's, yes that's right. I don't find many Mercedes-Benz amongst the Asian drivers, unless I get only the clumsy Asian drivers. Companies have to be able to cater to these different nationalities to build customer bases. I read a study the other day at work and the average home value of an American white person was around $195K, whereas the average home value of an American Asian person was around $395-$400K.
The first thought that came to mind was "old". Seems like I rarely see anyone under 50 driving one.
I forgot to incorporate old white men into my post earlier. The south especially Texas and Arizona seem to be home to lots of Lexus's from my experience.

I would think Asians being largely concentrated in California, where real estate prices are very high, skews those statistics.
In my area when most Asian people drive a luxury car, it's most likely a Lexus. Being of this descent and interacting with a rather large subset of this group, it's mostly due to nationalistic pride.
Those who don't buy Lexus but can afford it buy MB's and BMW's, but we can agree that all across the board they get into the most popular models (IS/RX, 3er, C). Those who don't buy luxury cars you can usually see behind the wheel of a Honda or Toyota.
Your wannabe "racers" and "look at me" guys buy an M3 or C63. Some buy an STi. It's rare to see someone of Asian descent to buy a pickup, but there are some. Usually the blue collar guys and contractors.
And lastly, you get the occasional oddball who is obsessed over American performance..like me.
