That scared the shiat outa me, just like it did to me in real life earlier this year hitting my first dear late at night in bright cross traffic, happened so damn fast
Ugly. I guess insurance would not cover that as he/she was on the track?
Most insurance companies have stipulations if you are in a time trials/competition with other cars.
I do know a guy, that we autocrossed during the day we competed in time trials. Then they decide the winners and depending on how much time was left in the day we would run the course more times. One guy wrecked bad then, he was able to get it covered by insruance since it wasn't a competition run, it was a "fun run"
Then on the otherside, I have seen people wreck at the dragstrip... pay the tow driver some cash to take their car off the track and down the road a mile or two, drop the car in a ditch, and help him wipe the numbers off the car. LOL

But were they able to sell that story to the insurance co?
Probably pitched that sucker up in the air like a giant rolling 9-iron.
