1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Don't know why, but I just loved it. It had the hatch back with plenty of room back there for whatever I needed to haul and could fold the back seats down if I needed to. Don't remember how many gallons of gas it held, but seems like a tank lasted forever. When I got a new car I gave the Grand Cherokee to my son, and he promptly totaled it.

As a kid/teen, the 2nd vehicle I can remember my dad owning was a 1997 Grand Cherokee, great machine. Took us on many a summer road trip to go camping somewhere. Brought us home alive through a few scary snowstorms in Syracuse.
Not the most outstanding build quality wise (but hey, it was a jeep) and it had some electrical gremlins later its life causing my dad to eventually trade it in in '06. 9 years though, not bad. Traded it in for a Ford Escape, bleh, not quite as cool in my opinion.
Funny thing is, the Jeep is still on the road (as of last year at least) my dad said he saw it the parking lot of JC Penneys. He recognized it by his old US Army base sticker and the broken armrest.
My current car is a 2007 Chevy Cobalt 4 door LS. I love it more than my old 96' Toyota Supra because I blend into the public, the cops don't follow me wherever I go, insurance is cheap, it's great on gas mileage, and at 140,000 miles, it still runs like it's brand new.
The twin turbo Supra was a fun car, no doubt! I just hated owning it after the first Fast and Furious movie came out in the summer of 2000. I had gotten it a year prior as a gift for making and maintaining my Honor Roll status in high school. After it came out, I would be pulled over every damn day and the cop(s) would have me pop the hood and go through all the parts to make sure everything was legal. The only thing I ever did to it was put some new rims, tires, stereo system, and exhaust system on it. Everything else was stock. Not to mention all the other idiots who'd want to race me because they really believed their Honda could break 140mph. Getting rid of it was one of the best things I ever did.
Mazdaspeed6, though the Lancer Ralliart I just traded it for comes a close second.
