YouTube - STI vs Z28
Two very different cars.
Yes, the 0-60mph and 1/4 mile times are close. But the Camaro SS is significantly faster at higher speeds. Once you get up to about 80mph, the SS will pull away from the WRX like its sitting still.

WRX - 13.5 @ 102 mph
SS - 13.0 @ 111 mph

WRX (0-100 mph) - 12.9 sec
SS ( 0-100 mph ) - 10.5 sec

So you can see the difference.

haha the word is yet I have lost to a few imports at the track a few times we have a real mean turbo 350Z on slicks that beats alot of cars where I live and for some reason we always seem to line up on friday nights at the street legals. I have yet to beat him. I also have never beat my best friends 03 mach 1 but it is far from stock and he runs spray 99% of the time at the track.

Well, if it's due to "tune" then you're no longer running stock, you're running modified. Also, altitude may be causing a false reading on your boost gauge which may really be measuring boost as a percentage above ambient pressure and calibrated for sea level instead of measuring the absolute boost pressure. There's no way the WRX's stock computer is allowing 17psi of absolute boost. If anything it would have lower boost if the solenoid opens the wastegate once the pressure reaches a certain percentage of ambient pressure; the other alternative is that it operates at absolute pressure rather than percentage above ambient pressure, in which case you should still be getting no more than 13.5psi of absolute boost.

And none of you are talking to your mechanic, which you will need after you run too many passes in these cars. Remember that bumper sticker that says Drive it like you stole it? There's a missing part to that that reads, And your mechanic will thank you. Subis have great 4x systems but suck on the engines. Some people get a quarter mil but others get a lot less. They have problems with lifters, injectors, tbelt issues, leaks off the front, after you take care of those they'er pretty good cars.

Subaru spelled backwards= u r a bus. Owned a GL wagon 20 years ago, interesting car. Thought the SVX was a great looking sports car. Owned an Impreza sedan which got totaled, it ran well but noisy enough to be distracting while driving.
