Maybe bone stock. This 327 is far from it. That Powerglide even has a shift kit and stall in it. I'm not sure but I know it's over 2,500 RPM. It burns rubber when it shifts.

That's a Chevy 572 big block crate engine. It's stock right out of the box. It's a turn key engine that fits in a lot of older cars and trucks.

I know I'd much rather own my Plymouth than a funny-looking Neon.

As I said before, you can modify almost any car to run 10s. Even a Neon, but it won't have the styling of a classic '60s muscle car.

Yes, there was.

Maybe it depends on the Charger, but according to this the 2012 V6 Camry gets to 60 in 5.8 seconds and runs the quarter mile in the low 14s.

That's pretty darn quick for a stock, generic family sedan.

Yes, of course, you refuse to accept it.

BTW, the '68 Hemi-Dart and Barracuda trapped at 125-130 mph.

And I posted road test specs of several '60s Chargers running in the 13s in the 1/4 mile.
