any ideas? I'm currently driving a jeep, which is great on space, but dull for someone who likes driving strait shift sporty cars. And fuel economy is horrid.

Whats a good car to look for? I need back seat room for two kiddos but other than that i would prefer rear wheel drive, 5 speed, safe, and fun to drive!

All I've sat in recently has been the new Fusion and Jetta. I like the Jetta for space, but I'm wondering if the 2.0 turbo is powerful enough. Didnt get to drive the Fusion....

something used?

I would not qualify the FWD Jetta or the Fusion as sports sedans.

I would look for a used E46 series chassis BMW 3 series.

You can get a E90 335i for around 25k with low miles. However, it fits the bill of what you need as it's RWD and comes with a manual (6 speed) and it has a twin turbo 3.0 I6. Really easy to make more power if that is what you wish to do.

For that price I would look at the Subaru WRX. You would be getting an excellent AWD over the RWD.

That budget would have me looking directly at these cars: Newer G37 Sedan, BMW 335 or Subaru STi. The 335 can embarrass E90 V8 M3's with just an ECU reflash so its the best from a performance perspective but reliability is questionable. The G37 would be a more trouble free vehicle with good power and great driving dynamics. I've always had a soft spot for the Subaru STi and its a formidable machine particularly with some ECU tuning.

So here is a question...my current car is not paid for yet...is it harder to trade in a used car for another used car? I've sold private party a few times but really dont want to go through that again just due to time.

in the used market I do really like the 3 series and wrx!
