You folks ever watched one from Australia? T-Gear? They have pretty interesting vehicles there, and entire attitude is quite different. Much more redneck, if it's a right comparison to do.
D-motor sucks bad though.
I think, original T-Gear ran out of new concepts so much, that all they have is re-runs.

Yeah, I recall seeing the episode where they competed against the cast members in the aussie show, who seemed way more roughneck, ''blue-collar'' and much less humorous than their brit or even American counterparts. But I assume the OZ casting is a lot more reflective of aussie tastes, which are seldom ''subtle''.
The chemistry on the UK Top Gear is just superb, but each member also has a lot of depth of car knowledge besides, including familiarity with some pretty arcane facts and car models. That depth of knowledge is less apparent on the U.S. version (which is slowly improving BTW), but the aussie cast could just as easily be a bunch of good old boys plucked out of West Virginia (or Queensland as the case may be)!
I'll be looking forward to a new season...currently watching the last of my DVR'd UK Top Gear's right now, so a new season will be very welcomed.
My wife and I watch the US Version, which I Thought was mediocre at best (1st season) last season was much better, and I finally laughed uncontrollably when Adam pushed his rental Mustang off a cliff with a hang-glider attached to the roof, that was simply worth seeing. My wife really can't stand the UK version, but she also doesn't like ANYTHING British.
I wasn't too blown away by the US version either. I think Tanner's awkwardness with the other hosts throws the entire shows chemistry out of balance. It really has gotten a lot better though as it gets off the ground.
Donno. I managed through two USA T-gears, and said never again. It sounded so much "sales", like they were totally afraid to say ANYTHING negative about cars. Basically, looked like one large marketing show to me.
Aussies are cool though. Straightforward and down to the earth. Not as "entertaining" as UK one, but not as snooty and half way understood either.
