When I seen the new '14 Kia Forte, I thought the rear of the car looked very much like a new Ford Focus... then I seen this side by side pic... WOW!

Now I love the new Ford Focus and I like this Kia Forte, but its unreal how much the rear tail of the car resembles a Ford Focus.

I think it's a bit too blatant too but hey, Honda's new Accord is a blatant Genesis Sedan rear so it seems they all do it.

Very few mainstream cars are unique. The all that the same ovoid, slippery shape with only minor differences. Kind of boring.

There are very few differences in cars these days, making them all pretty boring. Other than the Dodge Challenger, Charger, Mustang, Mini and Beetle they all seem to copy Honda and Toyota.

I've said it before and I'v ebacked it up with picture proof, but cars of any era looked like other cars of that era, with shared styling cues. It all depends on where your interests lie if you can tell them apart at a glance or not.

Even if you dont' know what the car in question is, you can instantly tell what era it's from by those shared styling cues. Cars of the '30s, '40s, '50s, '60s, '70s, etc. Modern cars are no different. *I* can easily tell modern cars apart at a glance, because I'm interested in modern cars. I can guarantee that even if you don't know what these actual cars are, you'll know what era they're from by a set of shared styling cues that all cars of these eras had:

I decided to look up the 2011 Kia Optima and there is a resemblance to the newer Forte. Did Ford copy the Kia Optima? Maybe...

Yeah, those are pretty close in styling, but I don't know if they're similar enough for Ford to sue Kia over it.
