There are two people that I casually know (meaning my friends have worked on their properties for years, and I would periodically assist them or visit them while they do their projects on the properties). And the owners of the properties are the richest I ever personally met (much more than $100 Million +) and "old" money. They drive simple Hondas. They use them to get to the train station (commuter lines) that brings them into the city or to their nearby office, and even to the airport when they travel for short periods.
And they use taxis or car services - I never saw them use limos. And it is the same with their wives, who are also from "old" money families.
There is a 3rd fellow, who is self made rich (very rich) - and he and his wife use Rolls Royces, sometimes with a driver (that does various functions for them).
The interesting part is that the "old" money families are very nice people - very friendly. They have always been married to the same spouses. Whereas the "new" rich guy is not friendly at all. He's been married at least twice and has a younger wife. So, I think the expensive cars are really for her benefit (the driver tells me that she wants to be driven everywhere, even though they own other very nice cars).
Money makes no matter what a person drives. What I means is that i knew multi millionaires driving Kias because they are not 'car people'. I know other 'car people' with tons of $$ and they drive millions of dollars of Exotics.
Agreed a nice A Class RV Diesel Pusher or A 50'+ power boat/Yacht or even small plane (Cessna) is what Rich people I know drive or pilot
Their daily drivers are a 2006 Dodge Ram extended cab. 3500 Diesel Dually and the "Tow Behind" is a 2007 FJ cruiser.
