1992 Chevy 4x4 Ext. Cab 1/2 ton -195,000 and knocking on wood!!!!
2002 Pontiac Grand Am - 100,000 less than the truck at 95,000, and REALLY knocking on wood!
1989 Taurus SHO: 157,000 (and on its last legs unless the next owner is willing to replace the clutch at a cost approaching the car's total value after completed repairs)
1995 Saab 900 turbo: 104,000
1996 Nissan Maxima: 103,000
Soon to replace the SHO in my fleet: 1987 Audi 5000 turbo quattro: 156,000
I have a bunch of cars, but my most frequently driven ones are:
94 Acura Integra GSR sedan 238,000
93 Honda Civic DX hatch 163,000
94 Honda Civic Si hatch 370,000
Only the 94 Civic was purchased young at one year old and with 24K miles on it. The other two were craigslist specials, the sedan had 195K miles on it and was $2500, the DX hatch was bought with 150K miles on the odometer, needed a new head gasket and was only $500. All have manual transmissions.
Toyota 4-Runner SR-5 1997-has 249,000 miles.Best car I've exer owned.Original clutch lasted 207,000 miles;frt.brakes 227,000 miles(rear still orig.).Nothing has broke on this car.Starter rebuilt at 230,700 miles(intermitent click).Still has orig.headlamp bulbs!Always gets 19-22 mpg.Built to last.
