I do drive the 31 Model A roadster the most... it is easy to access and always good to go and my nieces love riding in the rumble seat when their air-bag obsessed parents are watching
HA! Not quite as "scary", but I had my neice and nefew in the back of my YJ, and it only has the sport bar. I had just got done telling everyone that anyone in the back is pretty much dead if I rolled over because they'd be crushed by the Jeep.
20 minutes later I'm taking off down the country road with her two little children and my brother, whilst the kiddies were throwing their arms up in the open air, screaming excitedly.

My brother was fine with it......his wife.......not-so-much.

You know what those kids favorite vehicle on the planet is now though, right?

I drove my 68 Mustang from Big Sur to the Oregon border one summer... top was never up!
God that sound so great. Next time keep on going straight thru to Canada and do the Sea to Sky highway.

Learned I could drive in the rain and not get wet as long as I kept moving... with the windows up

On the 68 mustang... the aerodynamics would send the rain right over the car... I even had someone slow down to take a picture as I was driving in a rainstorm with the top down...

I also learned underpasses are your best friend when you need to stop and put the top up in the rain...

I restored a Jeep CJ for my brother... it was orange and looked good... he bought it salvage after it rolled

Also owned a Jeep Commander... around 1969 vintage... it had a removable hardtop if that qualifies...

Haha, 8 years to earn a "I told you so."

(The sad part is though, his wife probably racked up a hundred of them during that time.)

This thread has made me start looking at C5 verts for a Sunday roadster. Ugh, they are so damn sexy. You can get a nice low mile 6 speed for around $18k it appears (2000 or so). Amazing how most are the 4 speed automatics,. Think these prices will drop much anytime soon? A C4 'vert is still over $10k, so I don't think I'd lose much if I kept if for 10 years.

I'm in the same boat. I started looking at C4's but noticed that their sellers have a ridiculous impression of their value. Most 92-96 C4's are in the $12k-$15k range, and for that you can afford to jump to a '98 for just a little bit more money. All conventional opinion rates the C5 as a much better car.

BTW, unless you mean 3 out of 5 of your cars are convertibles, where did you get that figure (which would mean that at least every other car is a 'vert)?! And they obviously ain't that common... even here in sunny CA!

We actually thought about getting my Benz 380SL out last week as the roads were clear of ice, since then it snowed another foot so I guess I get to wait a while for the first ride of the season.
