Just curious about this. I know there used to be a tax credit for getting a hybrid but I haven't heard about one for some time now.

Hi War Beagle--

Most tax credits for hybrids and clean diesels were phased out at the end of 2010. You can see a full list here.

The only thing that really qualifies now the plug-in's and electrics - the Chevy Volt gets a tidy $7,500 credit, for instance.

Thanks for the info. I thought I had heard that most had been phased out but I couldn't remember for sure.

Yup. I got mine on my 2013 Volt, as well as the state tax credit of $2000.

I can't find it now, but I read something the other day that the Texas lege wanted to pass more incentives for either hybrids/electrics or just electric vehicles.
