Post U.K. News, Should drivers be fined for breaking a 20mph speed limit?

The government is considering introducing more speed cameras to detect drivers breaking a 20mph speed limit. Should there be more 20mph speed limits?

Local authorities are keen to introduce new speed cameras which would detect people for driving faster than 20mph in certain areas.

Isn't 20 mph over the posted speed limit considered "reckless driving" anyways?

I think John1960 means driving faster than 20mph, which is the speed limit in some residential areas.

Personally my impression is that the UK boasts already a sufficient amount of speed cameras. And I didn't notice reckless driving in my residential area when I lived in the UK.

We are forgetting one major thing that it is in Britain and the speedometer is measured in kilometers

The speedometer is measured in MPH in Britain, but to fine people going over the 20mph limit will just encourage more police parked up at the side of the road waiting for for someone to break the speed limit when they should be catching real criminals.
