I have a test of a '69 SS 427 Nova. It ran an excellent 1/4 mile (11.88 secs @ 115 mph with 4.10 gears). Mid-11s were possible with 4.56 or 4.88 gears.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to post this! DH and son will be thrilled!

Not a big surprise with 500 hp and 4.10 gears.

But they weren't built for gas mileage!

You're welcome. It's a rare article (and car), that's for sure.

Gulp is right! MPG has yet to be fully determined...but we're guessing single digits

No Fleet, it's not a rare car. The only year they made the 427/425hp model was in 1969. They made only 37 of them and only 6 are known to exist. None are white. The Yenko side badging is wrong for a 68 model. That badging was on the 69/70 models. The 68 badging was only a basic white strip down the side of the car. What she has is one nice Nova that's called a clone...a replica. It's not a real Yenko. Still, one hellva nice car that anybody would be happy to drive.

Then it's a clone of a rare car!

100% correct, which is why I posted on the bottom of the last pic: "no, it's not". The answer to the question we have been asked most. " Is it a real Yenko"? The price would have been " considerably" more, if it was!
