100% correct, which is why I posted on the bottom of the last pic: "no, it's not". The answer to the question we have been asked most. " Is it a real Yenko"? The price would have been " considerably" more, if it was!
Awesome car regardless. Have fun (I'm not sure it would be possible not to). I am just happy I knew what you were talking about when you said "no". I think I have officially watched too much Mecum Auto Auctions.
Thank you All! Restoration was done a few yrs back, so she has some minor issues...nothing my husband and son can't tackle themselves...which is the reason we bought it. Something for them to keep busy with in the " man cave".
And yes...she does haul....all while watching the gas gauge drop.
I often laugh when I hear people talking about how these cars don't get good mpg....they forgot these cars were built in a time where gas was 25 cents and it was all about the power. So yes they might get bad (by today's standards) mpg, they might not be as aerodynamic as todays cars, they may not have all the amenities of todays cars....but I'll be damned if they don't draw a crowd of ohh's and ahh's anytime one drives one.

Actually, that stripe pattern was not used on the 69 models either....it didn't begin until the 1970 models.

Here's an example of a 69 Yenko Nova:
Yea....if I had been looking for something that got good gas mileage, I might have bought a Pruis....NOT
The nice thing about those Novas is they came with vent windows plus on the non a/c models they came with kick panel vents. You can get fresh air w/o rolling down the windows.
