I thought AAA did that but I found out that they don't. Anyone know of any?

AAA just recently came out and changed my truck flat tire. They were out in 20 minutes, finished in 10 and on their way.
Doesn't 'roadside service' mean just that, roadside service. Most do that I know of change flats, jump start batteries, tow if needed.

AAA will put on your spare tire, but they do not offer a mobile new tire service like AutoSquad in the DC area if that's what you are seeking. I had a flat tire on one vehicle in the aftermath of Sandy, as something in the roadway punctured a tire, and AAA changed it within a very reasonable time for me.

To the best of my knowledge, all road services will swap a customer's spare tire for a flat, with the only exception being that they reserve the right to refuse to do this if the customer's car is parked so close to a traffic lane that the tire change can't be done safely.

Is it possible that the OP wanted them to repair a flat tire, rather than just swapping the spare tire for the flat?

Is it possible that the OP's car was parked too close to a traffic lane, or even in a traffic lane?

What further details can the OP provide for us?

If you have to be a member prior to calling them, or can you just call them, and they charge you a higher fee as a non member?

AAA is a middle man that calls a tow truck/service for you.

If you dont have AAA, just call a tow truck. Keep cars of a few in your glove box for your local area. If you have a smart phone when on the side of the road, google for tow trucks in the area where you are stuck.

Sure, you pay for the tow truck. But you pay for AAA annually, whether you use it or not. At least with a tow truck, you only pay when you need it. Which for most folks isn't that often.

On Florida interstates, there is a free service called ROAD RANGER..which is handled by the FL Highway Patrol. Dial *347 and road ranger will change your flat for free. They provide other free services as well (fan belts, jump starts, gas/water and use of cell phone).

I've had AAA change a flat. Who told you they don't? That's pretty much the definition of an emergency roadside service.
